DO I LOOK LIKE A HORROR FAN!?!?

I just finished reading a post by BJ-C who writes the amazing blog: Day of the Woman. Her blog is really what made me want to start my own blog. Though, I still haven't written anything involving horror but still. Anyway...her latest post is about how some people think that there is a certain look that one must have to be considered a fan of the horror genre. Someone posted a comment to her saying that if she "invested in some black dye and tattoos and looked more the part, she could have a bigger following". REALLY!? I'm all for having tattoos and piercings and different colored hair but that doesn't mean that everyone that does not look that way, isn't a horror fan.

Take me for example. Right now, I am wearing a baggy, white Wake Forest golf t-shirt, have my hair in a sock bun and have on jeans. I never attended Wake Forest and I don't play sports...I am wearing this t-shirt because it is comfortable and it was clean. hahaha Am I still a fan of horror movies? Abso-freakin'-lutely!!! I love horror movies!

This blog post will maybe be seen by 10 people...and that's pushing it. Do I wish more people would read it? Sure, I do. But I will not post pictures of myself wearing next to nothing to get readers. That was another topic addressed in BJ-C's blog post. As sad as it is, there are a lot of people out there who think that a woman writing a blog about horror is absurd. Oh...some people. I just don't get it. I'm going to write what I wanna write and make videos of what I want and if you want to read my blog and watch my videos...that's great. If you don't then that is fine too. I just wanted to get that out there. No real reason behind this post...I was just trying to vent. I feel a little bit better. haha

Drawing My Twin Sister!!!

Here is my next drawing! My twin sister liked the drawing I did of myself and asked me if I would draw her and her fiance. She bribed me by telling me she'd buy me 3 boxes of Cheerwine ....mmmmm, my favorite soda! haha Anyway...I also have a speedpainting video of the process if you want to check that out as well on my YouTube channel: Sister Speedpaint
Hope she likes it! ;)

ANOTHER PINTEREST SUCCESS!!!

If you are like me, you are obsessed with the website Pinterest. It's a virtual pinboard where people "pin" things from other websites to share with others, whether it be makeup looks, home decor, recipes or just cute animal pictures.

Usually when I look online for recipes or DIY projects, they never really turn out right. Since discovering Pinterest in September of 2011, I have spent hours and hours browsing the highly addictive website. Every recipe "pin" that I have tried myself has turned out successful! From the Golden Graham Smores bars to the Chik-fil-A Chicken Nugget Recipe, they have all turned out DELICIOUS!

After trying recipes, I thought it would be fun to try some "DIY" or "Home Remedy" treatments. I haven't tried too many yet except for the "pin" that explains dropping a couple of drops of Saline solution or eyedrops into your mascara to keep it fresh. It worked! Thankfully! :)

My newest and most surprising "pin" is how to clean Microfiber furniture with rubbing alcohol and a clean, white scrub sponge. Yeah, for real! What you do is fill a spray bottle with rubbing alcohol and spray the spots you need to clean. Next, use the clean scrub sponge to rub the alcohol sprayed areas. Wait for the furniture to dry and then use a clean scrub brush to fluff the fabric back up. Then you are DONE! Here are a few before and after shots of my couches! ;)

Here is the before photo of the doggie slobber cover couch. See one of the four culprits at the bottom! ;) hehe

Here is the before and after shot of the loveseat cushion that I tested first. We usually leave a small dog blanket covering this cushion because it was the worst! See the after photo! Not perfect but a HUGE improvement after years of dirty dog feet and slobber! I love my furbabies!!! :)

Last but not least, here is the couch. Again, not a HUGE difference but it is a noticeable difference! I'm pretty happy with it! I think after a couple more times of this, it may look new again!

So, if you have a Microfiber couch that you are thinking of throwing out because you think it's impossible to clean....TRY THIS FIRST! It can save you a LOT of money! I mean, would you rather spend about an hour scrubbing your couch with alcohol or spend a few hundred dollars on a new couch!? I'd choose the rubbing alcohol! hehehe

Anyway...thanks for checking this out! Hope it helps some of you out!!!
