"Blood Promise" Cover!!!

The third book in Ashlynne Laynne's, "The Progeny Series" titled, "Blood Promise" is almost finished and I have here for you, the completed cover! I was lucky enough to beta read "Blood Promise" and was blown away!!! This series is coming along VERY nicely! Also, in this book, the author has created a character in my honor named "Felicity Chandler". She is really freakin' cool! How many people can say that have a character in a book!? Hope you enjoy!

NEW DISNEY PRINCESS DRAWING!!!

It's been an extremely long time since I drew a Disney Princess and I had a bit of free time, so I continued my series with Sleeping Beauty!....or Aurora...or Briar Rose. Whatever you want to call her. :)

I drew her in her blue dress since that IS the dress that she ends up in. Not the pink one. I don't know why all the ads show her in the pink dress. Maybe they were afraid people would confuse her with Cinderella? I don't know. I didn't go with a full body drawing like I did with the other Princesses just because when I look at those now, it seems like the background takes way too much from the Princesses. I hope I succeeded in fixing that problem with this new drawing. :) I HOPE YOU LIKE IT!!!

Anyway...here she is!

Charles and Alli Trippy Speedpaint!!!

Charles and Alli Trippy are two of my favorite YouTubers!!! I've never met them but I feel like they are my friends. Weird, I know but bare with me. Watching Charles propose to Alli and then their wedding video, I cried so hard because I felt like I was watching two of my best friends getting married.

Filming your lives every single day and uploading it to the internet has to be extremely difficult but they still manage to do it. Even after Charles was diagnosed with a brain tumor, they never missed a day! I mean, talk about commitment! When I found out about Charles' tumor, I was so scared. Thankfully he is ok and even toured with "We The Kings".

Both Charles and Alli are extremely inspirational and I enjoy watching their daily vlogs! So, it was only fitting that I do a drawing of them. I am pretty happy with how it came out and I hope all you CTFxC'ers out there like it too! ;)

DO I LOOK LIKE A HORROR FAN!?!?

I just finished reading a post by BJ-C who writes the amazing blog: Day of the Woman. Her blog is really what made me want to start my own blog. Though, I still haven't written anything involving horror but still. Anyway...her latest post is about how some people think that there is a certain look that one must have to be considered a fan of the horror genre. Someone posted a comment to her saying that if she "invested in some black dye and tattoos and looked more the part, she could have a bigger following". REALLY!? I'm all for having tattoos and piercings and different colored hair but that doesn't mean that everyone that does not look that way, isn't a horror fan.

Take me for example. Right now, I am wearing a baggy, white Wake Forest golf t-shirt, have my hair in a sock bun and have on jeans. I never attended Wake Forest and I don't play sports...I am wearing this t-shirt because it is comfortable and it was clean. hahaha Am I still a fan of horror movies? Abso-freakin'-lutely!!! I love horror movies!

This blog post will maybe be seen by 10 people...and that's pushing it. Do I wish more people would read it? Sure, I do. But I will not post pictures of myself wearing next to nothing to get readers. That was another topic addressed in BJ-C's blog post. As sad as it is, there are a lot of people out there who think that a woman writing a blog about horror is absurd. Oh...some people. I just don't get it. I'm going to write what I wanna write and make videos of what I want and if you want to read my blog and watch my videos...that's great. If you don't then that is fine too. I just wanted to get that out there. No real reason behind this post...I was just trying to vent. I feel a little bit better. haha

Hope she likes it! ;)

ANOTHER PINTEREST SUCCESS!!!

If you are like me, you are obsessed with the website Pinterest. It's a virtual pinboard where people "pin" things from other websites to share with others, whether it be makeup looks, home decor, recipes or just cute animal pictures.

Usually when I look online for recipes or DIY projects, they never really turn out right. Since discovering Pinterest in September of 2011, I have spent hours and hours browsing the highly addictive website. Every recipe "pin" that I have tried myself has turned out successful! From the Golden Graham Smores bars to the Chik-fil-A Chicken Nugget Recipe, they have all turned out DELICIOUS!

After trying recipes, I thought it would be fun to try some "DIY" or "Home Remedy" treatments. I haven't tried too many yet except for the "pin" that explains dropping a couple of drops of Saline solution or eyedrops into your mascara to keep it fresh. It worked! Thankfully! :)

My newest and most surprising "pin" is how to clean Microfiber furniture with rubbing alcohol and a clean, white scrub sponge. Yeah, for real! What you do is fill a spray bottle with rubbing alcohol and spray the spots you need to clean. Next, use the clean scrub sponge to rub the alcohol sprayed areas. Wait for the furniture to dry and then use a clean scrub brush to fluff the fabric back up. Then you are DONE! Here are a few before and after shots of my couches! ;)

Here is the before photo of the doggie slobber cover couch. See one of the four culprits at the bottom! ;) hehe

Here is the before and after shot of the loveseat cushion that I tested first. We usually leave a small dog blanket covering this cushion because it was the worst! See the after photo! Not perfect but a HUGE improvement after years of dirty dog feet and slobber! I love my furbabies!!! :)

Last but not least, here is the couch. Again, not a HUGE difference but it is a noticeable difference! I'm pretty happy with it! I think after a couple more times of this, it may look new again!

So, if you have a Microfiber couch that you are thinking of throwing out because you think it's impossible to clean....TRY THIS FIRST! It can save you a LOT of money! I mean, would you rather spend about an hour scrubbing your couch with alcohol or spend a few hundred dollars on a new couch!? I'd choose the rubbing alcohol! hehehe

Anyway...thanks for checking this out! Hope it helps some of you out!!!

ME!!!!

So...there are all these sites that I use where you can have some sort of cool header or in the case of Facebook, a "cover photo" or a "DeviantID' on DeviantArt. I don't really take too many pictures of myself so I don't have that many different ones to choose from so I decided to draw myself! Plus, drawing myself gives me the chance to make myself look cooler than I really do. hahaha So here is me in all my Batman t-shirt wearing glory! ;)

That AMAZING Couple!!!

I'm very pleased to announce that I have the go-ahead to post the cover I drew for the upcoming "Blood Bonds" by Ashlynne Laynne! It's the sequel to the amazing "The Progeny".

This cover also features the two leading characters, Shauna and Ascher. The setting for this book cover depicts a darker novel. Shauna and Ascher's relationship gets deeper in this one.

Again, please visit the amazingly talented author Ashlynne Laynne at her website. You can also find her at her Facebook fanpage. To keep up-to-date of the series visit the Facebook fanpage!

NEW DRAWING!!! HOLLY!!!

Hello all! I did this latest drawing very quickly and I am extremely proud of it! I was able to finish it in 2 days! I think that may be a record for me!!! haha The character is an original from a VERY talented artist that I found through DeviantArt. Her name is Sanne and her DeviantArt username is Kampfkohlrabi. I have just fallen in LOVE with her OCs and their series "This City Sucks".

Not only does Sanne draw these awesome characters...but she gives them all interesting little backstories! Holly always jumped out to me because of her style. She has pink in her hair and a nose and lip piercing. She just looks so freakin' cool! I love her! She has a sad little incident that happened to her resulting in her having to walk around with a cane. But her cane is pretty awesome looking and totally fits her.

So, to learn more about Sanne's "Holly" and the rest of the "This City Sucks" gang, including a yummy fella by the name of Kieran, go visit Sanne's DeviantArt page! ;) I love Kieran!!! haha

Alrighty everyone...here is my interpretation of Holly!

Sorry I've been away....

So...yeah. I am a HORRIBLE procrastinator!!! I mean, I sometimes know I am doing it but I just can't help it. From now on, I am going to work so much harder to try and keep up with drawing jobs, filming my YouTube videos and keeping up with this blog! So, to start off this new "procrastination killer time"...here is my new blog featuring my newest drawing!

This drawing was my entry into a contest for the cover for a book called "The Obsidian Phoenix" by A.M. Jandia. I read the book and I really loved it. Unfortunately for me, I did not win the cover contest but it's alright. The winner did an amazing cover! If it were me, I'd choose that other cover than the cover I did. I am nowhere near as good as an artist as the winner of the contest. I get my inspiration from watching those kinds of artists on DeviantArt. I keep telling myself that to get to the place I want to be is to practice, practice, PRACTICE! I mean, who hasn't heard the cliche (but completely accurate) saying, "practice makes perfect"?

It's going to be a while before I can be as good as I want to be but until then...I will enjoy what I can do now. I mean, I actually like this drawing. I usually never like anything that I do. I don't know why. My Mom always tells me that an artist is their own worst critic. That is extremely true in my case. People tell me all the time how "good" I am but all I see is, "I need to improve on this" or "I need to be able to draw like that".

Anyway...here is my latest drawing. "Crimson Steele" from the book "The Obsidian Phoenix":
